E.R.E.S. Training is not for the faint of heart! Tactical survival is an entirely different challenge than just surviving under normal conditions. When people seek to hurt you and it’s a must to escape and evade; you sure as hell don’t want it to be the first time you have ever done it. Training is key!

Kidnapping is one of the biggest criminal enterprises in the world, and Children are targets worldwide!  In this program, you will understand what it is like to be kidnapped and interrogated for real. We will cover how to handle a variety of scenarios and tactical survival skills in both an urban and wilderness environment.

“Kidnapping is a multi-billion dollar business worldwide

and this course will teach you the skills you need to know in safety, ... in

whatever situation that you might find yourself.”

In this course, you will learn the tactics of special forces in a package every civilian can use! Do you think you have what it takes to make it through E.R.E.S.

Enabling / Terminal Learning Objective

Gross motor skills

Gross motor skill requires the use of large muscle groups to perform tasks like walking, balancing, crawling. The skill required is not extensive and therefore are usually associated with continuous tasks. Much of the development of these skills occurs during early childhood.

*** The performance level of gross motor skill remains unchanged after periods of non-use.

Fine motor skills

Fine motor skill requires the use of smaller muscle groups to perform tasks that are precise in nature. Activities like playing the piano and playing video games are examples of using fine motor skills.

*** Generally, there is a retention loss of fine motor skills over a period of non-use.

Discrete tasks usually require more fine motor skill than gross motor skills.

If you understand the two, you then know that the higher your heart rate the more weight you can press, but, using another example, the higher the heart rate the harder it would be to successfully accomplish gymnastics on a Balance Beam, another Complex Motor Skill event. A GMS is a symmetrical skill such as a Push-Pull bench press as opposed to a complicated martial arts takedown requiring three or more independent body parts.

Simplicity: Increasing the number of self defense options for any child, according to Hick’s Law, a learning principle, shows that the child’s Survival Reaction Time (SRT) will increase.

A few, simple, easy-to-perform, easily-retainable Gross Motor Skills designed to perform a cluster of survival moves in specific, predictable “combat” situations. In this context the Fighting Arts for The Jireh Group Children are:

Gross Motor Skills, which are strikes, kicks and moves that actually are more effective the higher the heart rate. Since I know that Survival Stress will disturb a child’s ability to recall techniques learned in the past, to make critical decisions and/or to employ fine motor skills.

E.R.E.S. is based on skills and tactics designed mainly to enable the child to safely disengage or escape from the predator or an attacker.

EVASION

EVASION- Class Room  (3 days)

The evasion section of the class will cover how to avoid abduction, using  gross motor skills. We will also cover principles and the importance of stealthy movement for evasion.

TOPICS COVERED

  • Psychology 101 Bullies are “psychologically” STRONG

  • Statistics, Facts and Myths

  • The criminal aspect

  • Sir Isaac Newton's 3 laws of motion

  • The psychology behind the abduction.  His/Her weakness.

There will be 2 phases of this portion of the course:

  • Urban phase

  • Field phase

Taking longer to resist an abduction can be fatal.

RESISTANCE

RESISTANCE- Class Room and Practical   (3 days)

This portion of the course is the whole point of the class, nothing prepares your mind for capture better than the resistance phase.  After this course you will fully understand why you can never be captured. In order to survive these situations, you must have preliminary training. You will learn how to deal with your abductor, what to say, and how to deal with being captured.

The detainment phase is optional, though highly recommended. After the training, even the most average of people will be able to escape and evade. But if you decide to go through with it, you will be treated badly and harshly so be prepared for it. Many people enjoy the exercise, it’s a real deal mind game that will teach the most important rule in  deterring abduction, staying safe and if need be, surviving  abduction.

You will learn some really high speed skills during the Urban phase of the program. During this class you Evade and Escape. You will start in an urban (walking to school, etc.)  area, where you will have to complete a series of missions in order to graduate. The whole time you will be pursued and under duress from your instructors. All of your instructors are combat veterans with significant time on deployment in hostile areas.

ESCAPE

ESCAPE-  Class Room and Practical  (4 days)

The escape portion of the course will teach you how to escape various types of restraints including:

  • handcuffs,

  • zip ties,

  • duct tape,

  • ropes, and much more!

And once you learn how to escape then you will be taught various methods for avoiding your Abductor.  Avoiding abduction.

WHAT TO EXPECT

10 DAY COURSE  -

Plan on the first 3 days to be pretty laid back, class room, meeting the instructors, etc. The next 7 days are very intense training during the training exercise. Its the real deal!

The detainment phase is not enjoyable to most, although there are some who actually love it.  It is a completely optional portion of the course, but required to graduate with a certificate.

Plan for the following:

  • To be treated harshly during the detainment phase where stun guns, mace, lies, shouting and screaming, and psychological tricks are the norm.

It is an intense 3 day process, under duress, where you will escape your captors into a safe area.

We have a 100% success rate of training students to escape difficult restraints and get away. You will get away, if you follow our instructions in class.

We will give you a 20 minute window during the detainment to escape, from there you are on your own. To find your way back to safety. You will be given a series of tasks to complete and you will be given a head start and then pursued by Abductors! Though it helps to be physically fit, its not a requirement to complete this course.
